Common Man Becomes a Guinea Pig in Odd-Even Experiment

It may be true the accusation of AAP that there  is a conspiracy to disturb the second phase of the Odd-Even car rationing initiative. It is what every opposition do to destabilize the ruling government. The same kind of activities were carried out by AAP when they were not in power.

The important issue is whether Odd-Even has any value?

Kejariwalji, CM of Delhi has to think loud about the benefit of Odd-Even concept. People are suffering rather than getting any benefit and going through their worst time.  In my case, it took half an hour extra for me to reach office on Monday due to heavy traffic on road.

What is going to happen in next 6 months if Odd-Even car rationing continue for next six months? Fifty percent  people who have a car will go for another car as middle class people don’t find any option of travelling comfortably.  This will increase the traffic and the situation will be worse after 6 months.   This is what you are trying to do for Delhi and its people?  After two years from now pollution will be worse than that of if Odd-Even has not be introduced.


As Delhi does not have proper and sufficient public transport system common man has to wait on road daily minimum 30 minutes to get a bus to his office and the same or more time in the evening to go back home. He has to  run after the buses to board it as bus stops are crowded.  If you are common man’s leader you, yourself can witness this in most of the bus stops near metro stations.  What your Odd-Even is going to give people of Delhhi?... waiting on road for hours…. Mental suffering …. Extra expenses on additional car and EMI….. etc.

It is true that Odd-Even will increase taxi and auto business and for that also common man has to spend extra from his pocket. It will increase the business of car manufacturers or second hand car dealers, for this also common has to bear the burden as he wish to travel comfortablly to his office and back home.


What we require is not Odd-Even but a proper planning with long term vision for mass transport system for next 50 years so that people themselves will leave their private vehicle at home and travel in public transport.  What you are doing is, experimenting with common man as he is a guinea pig for all the governments and political leaders. Congress did the same when they made BRT corridor without proper understanding of what is required in Delhi. They spend tax payer’s money and people on road suffered a lot spending long time in traffic jam. What you are doing now is an experiment on common man. This happens because nobody has vision and want to make hue and cry and thus to get attention by sending money paid by common man as tax.

So try to so something constructively for people than going after publicity stunts.

Can Odd Even Help Delhi?

It is a big question.

Many are fascinated with this concept as that of their fascination to Aaam Admi Party in its initial stage.

Is it really going to help?

Nobody knows! Everything seems to be a trial. It is like making of another BRT, a trial on common man and on his expense.

What are lacking in our country are, people at top are not concerned about common man or India.

They are concerned about promoting their image through advertisement on common man’s money. They only think of power and money.

For that they will either give big promises to people or make something which will create common man’s life miserable.

Why Odd Even is not a sensible move?

  • Common man wants to travel comfortably
  • He does not like to travel in a crowded bus like an animal.
  • He does not want to wait on road for hours to get a public transport and waste his time
  • There is no proper public transport system on which common man can travel comfortably
  • No government till date could provide people a jam free roads
  • Not a single government till today could foreseen what is going to be the situation in coming 20 years and plan accordingly
  • That is the reason a middle class person buy his own vehicle even by taking loan
  • Now by Odd and Even rule he is told to keep his vehicle at home and again wait on road for the mercy of public transport system which is not sufficient even today
  • More people on road with limited public transport system will be an ultimate chaos
  • Common man has to wait on road after his work hours than reaching home early and relaxing at home
  • There are many ‘Gramin Sevas’ which run on a particular route but they take the full charge from common man and only take him to half the way. 
  • Thus common man has to take two autos to reach his destination and has to pay twice.


The big blunders in the planning and development of infrastructure!

  • The big blunder was construction of BRT at the center of roads than making it on the sides
  • The biggest blunder than above is the decision to scrap the BRT constructed with 150 crores of public money
  •  Rs.35 crores money needed to scrap the BRT is not been used to shift the bus stands at the center to sides of roads and change the BRT corridors to sides than scraping it.
  • The biggest blunder is the making of Gurgaon Rapid Metro which is really useful for one fourth of people working in Gurgaon
  • If it had passed through Udyog Vihar  till  Kapashera, it could have reduced traffic to one fourth as that of today
  • There can be many reasons for not constructing Rapid Metro as told above.
  • That reasons are invalid if we sit and analyze facts, and the current situation of traffic
  • Even if Delhi metro is the biggest gift to each and every Indian, it also could not envisage either a ‘U’ track that can reach to Shankar Chowk and back to Sikenderpur or a ‘Y’ track that  can send alternative trains to Shanker Chowk which would have been cost effective in construction and affordable to common man


What are the solutions?

  • Construction of new roads and fly over is going to help
  • Government has to sit and plan for a strong and healthy public transport system
  • Has to plan metro connectivity and mono rail connectivity with work place and major residential areas
  • Plan out how travelling of a person can be reduced to his work place by helping him to shift job to nearest to his residing location

If a government is thinking that these are not their concern, no body is going to reach his destination on time in coming days and life will be spent on roads than at home or at offices. 

Swatchh Bharat

What is Swatchh Bharat?

Does anybody really want to make Bharat Swatchh even the person who introduced it?

If anybody really cares about it, Delhi would not have faced what it is facing today.

It seems Swatchh Bharat vision is derived simply  to spend common man's money through advertisement and other means so that many people behind it can make money out of it.

If any of the leaders, really cares about Swatchh Bharat, he would have really found out ways to improve roads in India first and try to keep it clean.

What have to be done to crate Swachh Bharat?


  1. Create a dust free road and surroundings at least in a locality in the Capital of India with the money spend on advertisement instead of spending on advertising which will tempt people keep that place clean.
  2. Improve public transport system which can reduce private vehicle.
  3. Proper functioning of red light signal and traffic personals to help people to follow the signals than challan them.


Why it is needed?


  1. 70% of Indian who travel on read are chronic lung deceases due to dust in the air because of dusty roads. 
  2. It can reduce pollution and help in reduced traffic jam and can save time and health of common man.
  3.  Most of the time traffic personals are waiting for people to cross the red light to fine them than helping to clear traffic jams.
  4. It can reduce consumption of fossil fuel and can save lot of foreign exchange.
